Thanks to Travel to Wellness Magazine, in December I had the pleasure of experiencing a 5 Day Emotional and Physical Detox at Fresh Start Health Retreat Center.
Situated in naturally beautiful and relaxing Oyster Bay on Vancouver Island, BC, Fresh Start offers a unique opportunity to cleanse one's mind, body, heart and soul. Their programs are not for the faint of heart. Each day starts early, ends late and is packed full of activities which often challenge preconceived notions of health and well-being.
While I was completely open to whatever experiences I may have during my stay, I had not expected to detox to the extent that I did. My body responded beautifully by letting go of toxins. The emotional healing workshops gently encouraged me to re-examine my life and the current path it is on.
Ania and Vasili Kastashchuk run a top notch facility. What makes them stand apart from so many other health centers is that Ania and Vasili truly believe and live what they teach. This is evident in everything that they do, and in all the programs and services they offer at Fresh Start.
After just 5 days I left Fresh Start with a renewed physical and emotional vigour and, perhaps most importantly, with profoundly deep new insights into my life and my life's path. I have only one regret about my experience - had I known ahead of time how beneficial those 5 days were going to be, I would have made arrangements to spend 10 or 14 days at Fresh Start.

Here's what the Five-Day Pre-Holiday Detox includes:
• Transfers to and from Comox Airport (accessible by major airlines including Air Canada and WestJet)
• Five nights accommodation in an oceanfront room
• Advanced whole body detox with specialty cleansing drinks and formulas
• Organic live foods, including fresh vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts and sprouted grains
• Freshly squeezed juices, cleansing drinks, teas and wheatgrass
• Hydrotherapy (steam baths with aromatherapy)
• Emotional Wellness Workshops
• Yoga & meditation classes
• Walks along the beautiful beach and trails
Please note that spa treatments are available on site but, other than the steam baths, are NOT included in the prize package. Naturopathic Doctor is available for consultation but a cost will apply.
Contest Rules & Regulations
1. The winner's name will be drawn at random from all names entered in the contest.
2. Prize must be accepted as is and may not be altered.
3. Prize does NOT include airfare or any other form of transportation (other than the airport to resort transfer) or gratuities. The prize is not redeemable for cash.
4. You must be a subscriber of Travel to Wellness. If you are not already a subscriber then by entering this contest you agree to let Travel to Wellness send you the free Travel to Wellness newsletter. If you are already a subscriber, you will continue to receive just one copy of the newsletters. 6. You must be at least 21-years-old to win.
7. Contest closes at midnight (EST) October 31, EST 2010.
8. Winner will be contacted on or before November 4th, 2010 by e-mail and be given until November 10th at 6pm (EST) to respond before another name is drawn at random.

10.The winner of this contest must provide their own transportation to the Comox Airport in time to board the Fresh Start shuttle to the resort. (Shuttle times will be provided.)
