2017 New York Times Travel Show to Feature New Experiences in its Wellness Travel Pavilion
News Release issued December 5, 2016:
The New York Times Travel Show will feature a variety of exclusive discounts, hands-on activities, and other new offerings for the spa and wellness traveler.
This year’s Travel Show, taking place at the Jacob K. Javits Center, will begin Friday, Jan. 27 with its Trade Day, which is open exclusively to travel industry professionals. The Travel Show will be open to the general public Saturday, Jan 28, and Sunday, Jan. 29.
Returning to the Show for the second year will be the Wellness Travel Pavilion, a popular feature of the Travel Show, showcasing wellness travel brands that attendees can experience first-hand. Some of the many wellness features will include:
The Art of Living Retreat Center offering attendees a personal Ayurvedic Pulse Diagnosis followed by a customized Replenishing Energy Treatment
A presentation by Banyon Tree Hotels & Resorts including its signature Stay for Good program
A showcase from Le Monastère des Augustine, Canada’s newest wellness retreat
Retreats Unlimited with the latest wellness vacation options for 2017 offered by a number of luxury boutique resorts
Healing Hotels of the World introducing their collection of holistic hotels
Butterfield & Robinson sharing their philosophy of “slowing down to see the world” via new cycling and walking excursions
The Best Life Stage, offering presentations on topics about wellness living and wellness travel, is being presented this year by The Art of Living Retreat Center
The Get Fit Zone, featuring demos led by dynamic fitness gurus Zack Schares, Stephanie Mansour and others
A Trade Day Wellness Travel session, hosted by Anne Marie Moebes of Travel Market Report, providing trends in wellness travel and how agents can increase sales in this area
A panel presentation on assessing your Wellness Travel “personality” and suggestions for “best match” wellness vacations in 2017 led by Anne Dimon of Travel to Wellness
A panel of Meet the Experts who will invite attendees to ask specific questions based on personal wellness travel needs and special interests

Premium Care Plastic Surgery offering free consultations and various prizes
In addition to the Wellness Travel Pavilion, The Travel Show will feature other experiences, including the “Taste of the World” culinary pavilion, a dedicated space for family travel, and five cultural stages.
