• The Spa at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami has introduced The Men’s Facial. Specifically designed to address the particular skincare needs of men, the facial works at a deep molecular level to purify, balance and hydrate the skin. The treatment begins with hot, steamy towels wrapped around the face and neck to soothe and soften beard bristles and aid drainage of congested and clogged pores. Following the relaxing face massage, therapists focus on acupressure points and lymphatic drainage with a deep shoulder and scalp massage. • The Umstead Hotel & Spa, North Carolina, Welcomes A Few Good Men
The Gentlemen’s Escape package includes a one night stay, day-long rental of a poolside cabana, and treatments in The Umstead Spa. A traveling couple will receive the Massage for Two, combining the guests’ choice of hydrotherapy bath with an Umstead Customized Massage. • The Spa at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago is bringing back The Gentlemen's Urban Defense Facial to its spa menu. A special pressure point massage and customized mask helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, softens skin and provides the ultimate relaxation. • Estuary: The Woodlands Spa at Falling Rock has altered its focus to cater heavily to men, with treatments geared to relaxation on the go. Located directly across from the check-in for the Mystic Rock golf course in Nemacolin’s Horizon Point facility, Estuary offers a choice of treatments for body, face and skin, plus new barber services – including a professional shave.
Massage options include Swedish, Hot Stone, Sports and Deep Tissue. • The Spa at the Westin Maui has added three new treatments exclusively designed for men, a golfers massage, gentlemen’s revitalizer and volcanic mens pedicure expand the offerings of the spa and cater to the increasing demand from male guests.
Heavenly Golfer’s Massage: focusing on the specific needs of the golfer… flexibility and use of repetitive activity and includes a rich, stimulating volcanic scrub that leaves feet re-energized. The Heavenly Golfers Massage is 130 for 50 minutes and $180 for 80 minutes.
Gentlemen’s Revitalizer: a signature aromatherapy facial created for men’s specific skin care needs. The Gentlemen’s Revitalizer is hydrating and relaxing and leaves skin revived. This facial is $125 for 50 minutes.
Volcanic Men’s Pedicure: a super-hydrating aromatherapeutic pedicure packed with vitamins and minerals. Feet are cleansed with a fizzling mineral soak followed by a warm sugar scrub to exfoliate and smooth the skin. A moisturizing volcanic clay foot masque (from the big island of hawaii) deeply hydrates and prepares you for a relaxing foot and calf massage. The volcanic men’s pedicure is $60 for 50 minutes.
“Ever since we opened, we’ve seen a consistent rise in the number of men visiting our spa,” notes Bridget Phillips, Spa Director. “We’ve also had a lot of feedback from our male visitors about having options more tailored to men, so these new treatments are designed specifically for men and their needs.”
