Richard Branson recognizes the importance of wellness travel. Recently, Virgin Voyages, the new adults-only cruise line from Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group, announced a number of new details – including a heavy focus on wellness.
The first ship for the billionaire’s new cruise brand, which is set to launch in 2020, will be named Scarlet Lady.
Front and centre to the cruise ship’s offerings is a heavy focus on wellness, with an assortment of offerings that complete its ‘Vitamin Sea’ program. Wellness perks include things like the Crow’s Nest sundeck for sunrise and sunset yoga, a running track, and fitness classes. The ship will also feature a Venice Beach-like adult playground fitness apparatus, an outdoor training zone, a boxing ring, and gymnastics equipment.
The ship’s The B Complex – complete with ocean views – will feature areas for strength, yoga, spin, and cardio training.
Guests can also unwind in the Well-being Pool and cool off at the Gym and Tonic bar, which will offer an assortment of fresh cold-pressed juices. Naturally, the ship will also feature a full-service spa called Redemption that is inspired by an underwater cave. Here, you’ll find a mud room, salt room, cold plunge pools, and a hydrotherapy pool.
