Keep scrolling for a list of upcoming retreats, but first a we’d like to define Wellness Retreats.

According to the Wellness Tourism Association, in today’s world, the term Wellness Retreat has two definitions:

#1 A Wellness Retreat is a guided, intention-driven, multi-day program with a set or semi-set schedule, and hosted by one or more facilitators. The program may include learning and lifestyle workshops such as meditation and healthy eating, as well as fitness activities such as yoga, nature walks and hiking.

#2 A Wellness Retreat is a smaller facility with accommodations and hospitality services, and where the primary purpose is to provide programs and  experience for the Wellness Traveler. The facility may have fewer wellness activities, services and facilities than a Wellness Resort.

With this new Travel to Wellness Retreats Guide, we are embracing definition #1: “A guided, intention-driven, multi-day program with a set or semi-set schedule, and hosted by one or more facilitators.”

Moab Mindful Running Retreat – March 23 – 26, 2023

The four- day, three-night Moab Mindful Running Retreat allows you to tune into what drives you – in running and in life. Taking participants past desert landscaper red rock, soaring cliffs and delicate natural arches, each day’s run offers a new challenge, and therefore opportunity, to learn something new and take your running to a whole new level because it is possible to be the runner you want to be without having to train harder and push yourself to exhaustion. While it’s not necessary to have run trails before, the Moab Running Retreat is recommended for runners who can comfortably run 8 miles or more on the road. With the support of the retreat leader and running guides, running at your own pace is an option. Curtain Bluff Healthy and Wellness Weekend – April 15-22 &  April 22-26

Mastering Sleep  –  April 23—28

At Canyon Ranch Lenox, guest expert Michael Grandner, PhD, MTR, CBSM, FAASM helps retreat participants embrace practices and techniques to retrain the sleep cycle and restore the art of a peaceful slumber. Mediterranean Mindful Running Retreat  – April 29 – May 5, 2023

Wellness, wisdom (and wine!) merge in this Mediterranean Mindful Running Retreat along the Mediterranean Sea, running from one historic village to the next in the Costa Brava region of Catalonia, Spain.
